By

The world under the sea is a place full of life and magic for your senses to appreciate. Snorkeling is a small prize when you don’t know how to dive yet, but the only way to discover the beauty and charm of underwater life is by learning each and every one of the diving techniques.

You can learn to dive from an early age; from the age of 10 you can learn this fabulous activity.

Are you ready to learn how to dive or to increase your number of dives as a certified diver? Well, then you don’t need a good tour, what you need is a unique experience and Puerto Vallarta has fantastic marine areas located in 3 different points of the bay.

Buceo en Puerto Vallarta Tours en Puerto VallartaTo begin in this activity, I recommend you to learn to dive in the Las Caletas area, since it is a place where the conditions of the south coast of Puerto Vallarta have created the most favorable natural set to get you started on this special activity. Enjoy an incomparable Natural environment, with the full confidence and security that certified divers will help you have an unforgettable day while you discover the secrets of basic diving techniques in a very simple course.

In that area it will be very easy to learn to dive, since they teach you through a specialized course that focuses on how fun and fascinating the underwater world can be. In a single day, you will learn basic skills, the rules of security that will allow you to dive comfortably, and without worries.

Now, if you already have several dives or you are a certified diver, I recommend the second diving area, which is located right in the middle of a group of granite isles that rise from the depths of the sea. These isles are located where the southern part of Bahía de Banderas begins, a place known as Los Arcos which is worth exploring by all means.

There is an underwater abyss called the Devil’s Canyon and El Bajo there, as well as a great variety of fish, turtles, seahorses, lobsters, stingrays, eels and octopuses.

Every Monday, Friday and Saturday, expert guides invite certified divers to explore the underwater world of Los Arcos, you just have to set a date and live this fantastic experience under the company and supervision of a PADI professional instructor. The instructor will be the guide to teach you how to use the scuba gear and how to move around with it as well as how to breathe through it.

And now the third diving zone in Puerto Vallarta, where only certified divers are allowed to descend: Las Islas Marietas. This double-immersion experience takes you to one of the best places to dive in Puerto Vallarta, a place with a lot of history and prestige. Thanks to the efforts of the conservationist Jacques Cousteau, the Marietas Islands were declared an ecological reserve, after which they managed to become a paradise of unspoiled tropical beauty both above and below the waves.

When diving in the Marietas Islands, you will slide through an underwater mountain range that offers the perfect conditions to observe fascinating marine creatures like stingrays, hammerhead Sharks, giant jellyfish, seahorses, turtles, schools of Tuna, sailfish, and many more species that inhabit this fascinating nature reserve.

What you should know before you book is the following: to dive in the Marietas Islands with 2 tanks you must be a certified diver and based on PADI recommendations, you should not fly until 12 hours have passed from a dive, and up to 18 hours after two or more dives in a day.
To dive with responsible companies, it is a requirement to have done at least one dive in the last twelve months.
For your safety and that of the baby, pregnant women are not allowed to dive.

Tours in Puerto Vallarta invites you to discover the underwater world and become passionate about diving and gradually obtain your PADI certification.

Do not wait any longer! Just make sure that expert PADI-certified instructors lead you by the hand in this new underwater experience.
